Song: "Wait For You"
I wrote this song when I was living in LA. I went to a movie with my friend Jen on the 3rd Street Promenade and we came out of the theatre only to hear a man with a megaphone shouting "Jesus Saves." It was a Friday night and the promenade was bustling with people...It was crazy to hear him shouting and it affecting me profoundly. The whole experience made me think of being alone, of religion, of the excess in our society...all of these ideas came together in this song. It's one of my favorites.

There’s stormy weather up ahead
But I don’t give a damn cause I’m prepared
For whatever this world gives to me
Oh, I thank the Lord that I can see
The difference between right and wrong
It just helps me figure out where I belong
And I’ll Wait for You
I’ll Wait for You
I don’t know what else to do
I’ll Wait for You
I’ll Wait for You
Just promise me you’re gonna follow through
There’s this man on the promenade
Well he’s shouting about Jesus at the top of his lungs
He says there’s no pain in heaven above
What does that mean for us here down on earth?
And I think it’s probably good that he’s been saved
Yeah, one less sinner out there waiting to be repaid.
And I’ll Wait for You
I’ll Wait for You
I don’t know what else to do
I’ll wait for you
I’ll wait for you
Just promise me you’re gonna follow through
We all make our beds
And we all must lie down in them
And do the story goes
We’re surrounded by each other but we’re so alone
And I’ll wait for you
I’ll wait for you
I don’t know what else to do
I’ll wait for you
I’ll wait for you
Just promise me your gonna follow through
I’ll wait for you
I’ll wait for you
I don’t know what else to do
I’ll wait for you, I’ll wait for you I’ll wait for you
Just promise me you’re gonna follow through
