Getting really excited for show on Wednesday!!

Hi everyone!!

I am finally back in New York after being away for a week and a half in Texas, Boston, New Hampshire, and DC.
It was an amazing adventure and I am EXHAUSTED! BUT I am so very excited about my show at The Living Room this Wednesday, the 11th! We are rehearsing tomorrow and I am fired up! If you are in NYC, please come!
I go on at 9pm!

Attached is a picture of Baloo and me on a cross country ski in New Hampshire on an utterly beautiful day last week. I went up there to recharge the batteries for a couple of days. It was freezing but sunny. Baloo doesn't like to have his picture taken!

FAT Tuesday hello!

There was a guy at Starbucks today who was on the phone and said that everyone was happy today because it was FAT Tuesday. I looked around on the 6th Ave Starbucks and begged to differ but I thought it was kind of funny so I smiled and went on my (merrier) way. I didn't even realize it was FAT Tuesday so it was cool to find out in the beginning of the day rather than at midnight or something.

Online publicity campaign still going well. Today, my song Back to You was featured on Windy City Radio

Post Valentine's Day hello!

Hi friends-

I hope that all is great with everyone and that you enjoyed the long weekend and Valentine's Day! My weekend was fabulous. I went to a party on Saturday night that was, well, let us say, interesting...but the highlight was going to Norwalk yesterday and having an amazing time:) I got back to the city today and thought it was going to be a little more calm but it was nuts! Business as usual despite President's Day. The city that definitely doesn't sleep. At least I found a cool place to take Baloo on a walk in Scarsdale before heading back to the concrete!

So, I am so psyched because in the last couple of days I booked a show at The Living Room and back at Rockwood Music Hall! I haven't played The Living Room in a while so this is going to be incredibly exciting.
I hope, if you are in NYC, you will pencil in the shows! March 11th at The Living Room at 9pm and April 5th at Rockwoods at 4pm.

Portland!

Well, the show in Portland was a success! I had a blast playing at the Northstar Music Cafe. There was a great crowd and they couldn't have been any nicer. I played a solid set and definitely want to go back there. Yahoo!

I also did a couple of radio shows and a podcast interview that will be aired this Friday night. More on that in a couple of days!

This picture is from a big board they had at the venue...the cut-out was actually Sarah Palin's face. It was hilarious so after the show, I stuck my head in and got a shot! :)

Now I am back in NYC resting up tonight and then hitting the ground running tomorrow!

Amigos/as!

So, I am sitting in this very cool restaurant in Portland, Maine right now called O'Naturals. All local ingredients, eco friendly...great use of natural light, etc. And I am looking out at this gorgeous little park in the heart of downtown all full of snow with the sun shining down on it. It's pretty awesome. I have secret dreams of settling down in a town like Portland if not Portland itself. Days like today remind me how nice it is to know your neighbor, smile at someone and not have them look at you like you are crazy, and to just feel Old Man Winter snow and all:)

I just wrapped up a radio show at WMPG 90.1 (wmpg.com) here in Portland and it went really well. Chris Darling was awesome and we had fun bantering back and forth in between songs. I played Watch your Step, Do it Out of Love, Wait for You, and my track off of my old album, Don't Do it Alone. He played, from the album, Quiet Night of Quiet Stars, Look Ahead (his personal favorite), and Back to You. We covered a lot of ground in an hour!

Hi everyone!

Thanks for visiting my site today. I have some real-time news for you!

After I finish up on the computer here, I am going to start packing and head up to Penn Station to Boston for a couple of radio shows tomorrow and my Portland show on Sat. I am really looking forward to it and am psyched to get out of the city for a few days! I will let you know how everything goes:)

So, a couple of happenings.

First I got a review yesterday that I am really pleased with. I love that Andrea mentions Baloo, too. Very cool.

Hello everyone!

I am about to send out an email officially announcing the launch of the new web page. And I wanted you to have something to read that wrote today! I hope that Monday is treating each and every one of you well. I started off my week with my annual physical which I think went well. Now I am freezing in my apt trying to work on that!

Other than that, I am working this week on promoting and preparing for my Portland show this coming Saturday. I have two radio shows on Friday which is exciting. One is Portland and the other in Portsmouth, NH. Please let your Portland friends know about my Saturday show. It's at Northstar Music Cafe. The info is in the tour section of this site.

I am excited to get back up to New England and if I can swing it, am going to try and ski a day or two.

Thanks for reading and definitely send me an email with thoughts/suggestions on the site. I think it has turned out really well but, as in everything, there is always room for improvement and I welcome any thoughts you have. Kudos to Tim Hobert who designed it!

I hope that you are all having a great week! It just got really cold in NYC but nothing like what people are dealing with in Chicago and the midwest in general. so no complaints:)

I have had a great week so far. Last weekend I was able to get down to DC to visit one of closest buddies and that was nice. And Sunday night I went to see my friend Emily Zuzik play a great set at Rockwood Music Hall. Other than that, I have been working hard on publicity stuff, practicing, networking...

Well, needless to say, I am very excited about my new site. I am so happy to be able to communicate with you all on a regular basis, actively make changes, and have more fun with my site in general! I am definitely looking for feedback, so let me know what you think is/isn't working for you. I hope everyone is having a beautiful 2009 already. I am just back from a wonderful time in NH. I hung out with the family and with Baloo who is attached here in the biggest chair ever. Cute. Cheers to all!!
